I have a fantastic demo game that I and friend wrote way back which is a 2d fighting game with AI and uses the AMAL langauge heavily which works and compiles in AMOS pro but however doesnt compile in the latest AOZ compiler v 0.9.2.1 (0.9.3). There are 111 compile errors so question is should I post each one here? I believe the best option would be to post the whole package some where so that the bugs can be worked out and the game can be made into a demo game.?
I believe if this original AMOS can be made to compile it will fix %99 of other original AMOS projects.
I'm in the same boat with my program. There's still over 200 commands to code, so AOZ is by no means completed yet in terms of functionality, and by the look of it, other workings such as memory banks need further work. There's also slight changes in the syntax checking I think, as I had a problem with Label names within different procedures, fine to have them the same in AMOS, all have to be different in AOZ (as it stands). I think we just need to be patient.
This will go very quickly from now on. And I need such examples to make them work. Memory bank code is done and needs testing, that is all. Could you send your AMOS game? At fl@aoz.studio ? (please use Google Drive or Wetransfer, as my account does not accept ZIPped files - Google problem)...
You already have it, it was me (jasonw) who contacted you on Discord. Hopefully it will help you implement many more things from the original AMOS instruction set.
